Day 12, July 14th 2016 Another Thursday!
Morning Hike: We decided as a van to do Central Park. This consisted of a mile or so of deep dry sand - I was soaked - it's such hard work hiking through this. We stopped to take a picture once we got into the lava field and a Dr. in our van tripped and fell and jabbed some sharp lava rock in his shin and we had to fix him up - I think he may have gotten a few stitches later. We continued on this hike and were going up and down on the sandstone it was amazing.

this gives you an idea of the climbing - it's awesome - I love it.
later in the hike - a guy that's been here for 5 weeks now ( total of 15 to go) decided to jump down instead of go around and .... he broke 1 ankle and the other foot. So there was a delay in our hike and 1 guide took him out to a closer van and we hiked back. I got them to drop me off 2 km from Movara again so I could walk another 20 minutes.
BREAKFAST
Skipped the Emotional Eating Lecture ( i'm already a pro.... LOL) - I'll go next week
Biked instead and I ROCKED IT! There is an ap called STRAVA and it follows you on GPS - so after last bike ride it showed me that I got a personal best ( faster than the last time I biked by it_) so......... today I went as fast as I could and broke 5 personal records. It felt so awesome and I was so proud!
STRETCH AND TONE - made me sore agin
STATIONARY BIKE - 30 min while waiting for lunch
LUNCH
Lecture on MENU PLANNING - Can't stress enough to balance your meals. EACH meal needs Carbs, protein, veggies and a healthy fat!
TOTAL BODY TABATA - circuit - tough class
TREADING - I wasn't feeling it. It's a tough class and Sharon pushes you and Sharon wasn't there!!!! A new instructor did a fanstastic job and long story short, I pushed myself and did awesome, got running 9.0 mph on the treadmill for sprints. it felt great!
WATER CLASS - Did my own thing
SUPPER
then took a friend to the bank and stopped by the dollar store to buy a car window cover and a steering wheel cover - it's so hot in the car when it's 42 degrees out.
Sappy Hallmark movie and now ready for bed!
I seem to be out of my rut, glad it was short lived! It was great chatting and getting support from a few friends, thank you - makes all the difference! Tomorrow is the 10k and i'll do my best. I am still trying to manage my blisters and feeling pretty sore after stretch - my hip and back issue - which has only bugged me after stretch 2x . So happy about the lack of pain on a daily basis. Looking forward to the weekend, Saturday I don't want to go on the group hike, there will be too many group levels and it will probably be slow so I will go on a 2 hour bike ride to the end of West Canyon again , which means..... I should be able to sleep in until 630 too! Should be a busy cardio day tomorrow so had better get a good nights sleep!
