Day 8 Monday July 11th, 2016     Marvellous Monday!

Is this supposed to get hard at some point??? LOL It just seems like i'm breezing through everything - I wonder if i'm staying in my comfort zone and we all know that magic happens outside the comfort zone.  I'll have to remember that in the Cardio Classes this week and push myself a little bit harder and push myself a bit more hiking.  I am pleased with the progress that I am making.

Hike this am was Scout's Cave - every Monday is an assessment hike. We are stay over guests so they know our abilities and have already placed us in our vans, so I was in the fast van again and happy to say that I finished in place #2 instead of at the back of the pack today!  The hike was relatively easy for me.  It was long but not too much for distance ( 8.4 km) 2 hours.   Funny that seems short and easy.  I rolled my left ankle a bit on a sharp lava rock and my ankle is a bit sore in 1 spot and the blister bandaid will not stay on, so my heel was rubbing as well.  There was quite a bit of sand to hike through.

We got back a bit early so I went to the gym and did 30 minutes on the stationary bike

BREAKFAST

KICKBOXING - Sharon's Monday class for stayovers, very good class - I was soaked when it was done.  My back was a bit sore as I tripped on a rock on the hike and jarred my back a bit - we had to push the big heavy punching stands across the gym 10 time and that was difficult as I was guarding my back a bit.  |It feels much better now!

HIP HOP CLASS - I didn't want to go - so I walked up the street to the animal shelter and got in a nice 5.4 km walk - easy pace before it got too hot ( 30 degrees)

LUNCH

COOKING DEMO - I took a break and enjoyed Chef Sam's cooking demo.  I got my ecookbook today in the mail, if you would like a copy please email me and I will forward it to you.  He is sending it out to anyone who wants a copy.
Some of the ingredients that they use in the kitchen on a regular basis

CIRCUIT TRAINING - was great

COURT CHALLENGE - AH Sharon was teaching .   6 stations - sandbags, burpees, jump rope, spin bike, battle ropes & boxing  all 2 minutes full out and go through each station 2x.  High cardio for 40 minutes was dripping wet.  I sweat so much - it's crazy and the gym is air conditioned!

POOL CLASS - I stayed in the deep end and did water jogging until the end when I sent to stretch with the class.

I ate dinner.  It was Turkey Salsibury Steak and mashed cauliflower.  My stomach got cramps and bloated after I ate it.  The same thing happened last Tuesday with the cauliflower soup also ..... hmmmm I think that Cauliflower and me don't get along.  Would be great to figure out food issues.

I'm very happy to be showered and ready for tomorrow and sitting down to relax by 7!  I've got lots of computer work to do so the 2 hour Bachelorette Show and Mistresses will take me to bed.

Hopefully tomorrow goes just as well.  I am looking forward to the lecture on SELF SABOTAGE! I will have an 1.5 hours to bike tomorrow, I think that I will go up into snow creek canyon on the bike again.

It is so awesome to have no STRESS for a month.  Just being able to focus on me and try to better myself will help me be a better wife and mother when I get home.  Take some time for yourself, even if it's a bubble bath, massage, go for a nice quiet walk.  Take care of you so that you can take care of everyone else!
