Tuesday July 12, 2016  REALLY NOT A MORNING PERSON!

It was another great day. I worked my butt off.  I really do not like walking up with the alarm every morning.  It's something that i'll have to get used to at home as well. It is great once you are up and going but it's the up part that I struggle with.

- 8 km - Red Mountain Trail - pretty easy - walked through quite a bit of sand and a very nice view at the top.  I hopped out with an Anaesthesiologist from New York on the drive back and we walked back to the resort together to get another 20 min workout it.

Breakfast - I have the same old thing everyday - egg scramble with 1 slice of toast with butter ( unsalted)  tomorrow I will change it up and try 1/2 serving of granola with almond milk and 1/2 peanutbutter chocolate protein smoothie.

Open Gym - I went biking and got 2 personal records -  my recording device uses satellite and track and I was faster than the last time I did it.  I will try again tomorrow and see if I can do it even FASTER!

CIRCUIT TRAINING

Lunch

Extra 30 minutes on the stationary bike  (as I did the lecture after lunch)

SELF SABOTAGE LECTURE - Any of you do this?  Self Sabatoge is a cycle .  Our thoughts determine our feelings and our feelings influence our behavior and our behaviors influence our beliefs.  Most of us do not achieve our goals and self sabotage because our goals are too high.  We need to LOWER OUR EXPECTATIONS and will notice a higher performance.  Positive self talk - if you feel good - you will do good!   The life coach suggests  1 -2 lbs of weightloss a week.  If you say I want more and faster - just ask yourself if you would like to weigh what you weighed last year this time? Even if you lose 1 lb a week, you will have lost 50 lbs in a year!  Who doesn't want that.

BOOTCAMP - Cliff's Class it was fun - VEGAS STYLE - you chose a card and the suit was the exercise and the number were the reps.  So it was between squats, mountain climbers, push ups and sit ups.  Face cards were 20 and the joker was 30 . I did mostly abs!  Lucky me!  Between every card draw was 2 laps or 1 lap and 1 set of stairs.  Good calorie burner - suspenseful... LOL

Cardio Intervals - Sharon's Class -   I started on an arc trainer and then went on the bike, wanted to keep my feet off the treadmill, I am working on managing 2 blisters that I've picked up and I can't get the bandaids to stick on my feet.

Water Class - Sharon's Class - I stayed in the deepend and followed her class and did the rest water jogging.

I am starting to feel a bit tired.  Getting into a daily routine, it's feeling like home here. I miss my wonderful husband and amazing children but they are doing ok and I am enjoying my stress free life which makes it really easy to live in my "BUBBLE" - sometimes I wish I could stay longer to get 100 lbs off and then come home and other times I think , OK  I got it can I go home now.  I think 4 weeks will be good to get a signifigant amount of weight off and create good habits and completely detox from sugar and from caffeine .

I think i'm going to stick around here this weekend, don't really feel like driving a ton, but would love to get to the north rim of the grand canyon , but that would be a 6 hour drive.  If I stay I can shop a bit and enjoy a few movies - no popcorn, pop and chocolate - that will be hard. But it's not an option so will be good practice for at home.   Well back  to the sappy hallmark movie on TV and then put todays load of laundry away - a sweaty dirty load daily here!  I love the hallmark channel, wish we had it at home.
