DAy 13 Friday July 15th, 2016 Your Body can do it, it's your mind that you need to convince!
10 K Run - I woke up this morning and I was not in the mood to do the 10k this am. My goal was to beat last weeks time 1 hr 28 min. Then I started making excuses as to why I didn't need to and that. I forgot my toe caps, my blisters hurt, my hip is bothering me a bit. Big enough excuses, don't you think? I started the race and I was having trouble getting my ipod to work - this was going to be a long experience with no music. My volume button was turned down on the headphone. When I figured this out, the music returned. Here are the lyrics that greeted my ears!

So what was my excuse again? My brain kicked into high gear and my body followed. I ran every chance I got ( on the flat ground or downhill ) and I am VERY PROUD to say that my time was
1hr 21 min 45 sec. WOW! I shaved almost 7 minutes off last weeks time ( which I was also very proud of)

BREAKFAST
BIKE RIDE - 1 hr 2 min - took an easy bike on the flattest terrain I could find. Was tuckered out from the run so I just wanted to enjoy the SUN and get some calories burnt. I took a new route and really enjoyed it. I have to look at the map and figure out a way home so that I can make a nice loop out of it. So many people are so active in this town, it`s great!
POWER CORE - I was a killer again
LUNCH
I blew off the schedule for the rest of the afternoon. I missed Q&A and apparently I did not miss much. 1 girl walked out and the rest of the group was tired of 1 family of 5 basically running the show with family issues. I just wanted more time outside.
30 minutes of Exercise Bike
1 km ( 40 lengths) swimming
30 minutes of water jogging
45 min of water aerobics ( I did it myself)
40 minutes Treadmill
15 min exercise bike
SUPPER
MASSAGE - it was OK - but it was not MY AMY!
All in all it was a great day! Food was great ( as usual) email me if you want a copy of the cookbook! Tomorrow will be a lighter day - only half a day and then I think i`m going to go float in a reservoir and read a book and soak up the sun. Catch a movie tomorrow night and a bit of shopping. Day off on Sunday - no big plans, just want to relax. Probably go for a nice walk before it gets too hot and float again.
So the message of the day - is to set goals! Do your best to achieve them. Be flexible but don`t sell yourself short. You are capable of so much more than you think you can do and don`t let your mind hold you back!
